Disco Teepee started in 2014 with a lifelong obsession and a simple idea: make a place where artists get discovered.

What began as a music blog became something wider. Reviews turned into conversations once it became clear that talking to musicians was more interesting than grading them. Those conversations became a podcast. The podcast became a radio show. Along the way it became a community.

Music connects people who wouldn't otherwise be connected by anything at all.

Curious music lovers, especially women, who are always looking for their next favorite artist, song or story, and who want to find music beyond the obvious.

How it works

Three things, on a rhythm you can count on. A weekly playlist. Interviews with the people making the records. A live radio show every Saturday morning on WOHM 96.3 FM Charleston. Nothing here is automated and nothing is chosen because it is trending.
