Tedeschi Trucks Band

Tedeschi Trucks Band visits North Charleston’s Performing Arts Center (PAC) tonight on their Made Up Mind tour. TTB is one of my top bucket list bands, so tonight will be one for the concert books.

Made Up Mind is the third album from the husband and wife duo, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks. The title track, “Made Up Mind”, “kicks the door down” stated by Trucks. The band wanted to make a statement on how they work musically; they all have the mindset that if something works and they believe in it there will be no negotiating. This “stick to your guns” song is a bold statement of not backing down and giving in. You can’t argue with lyrics like these,

I’m going higher
I’m not afraid
Licking my finger
Turning the page

The tune is full of guitar and grit, and surely to be a show stopper tonight.

“Do I Look Worried” is personally my favorite tune on the album. It’s a great kiss off song where a woman is going through issues with her romantic relationship, and finally had enough. Tedeschi’s powerful pipes paired with Trucks’ electric guitar playing makes for one dynamic tune.
