Werk, Werk, Werk

A couple of weeks ago was Charleston Werk Week, a three-day event featuring vintage fashion and music. I teamed up with Third Eye Vintage on this adorable music festival outfit. Kia, the owner of Third Eye Vintage, created this ensemble by mixing patterns and throwing in some fun accessories. Make sure to visit her online and see all of her beautiful vintage finds.

When I first saw this necklace on Tori Gonzales’ blog, I HAD to have it. It’s a great combo of gypsy and rebel, perhaps two opposing trends, but Free People blends it perfectly into a fabulous neck piece.

This accessory pairs well with t-shirts, dresses, and blazers. I went for a classic country-inspired choice with a denim on denim tuxedo; once assembled I cannot help but hear the sounds of Willie, Waylon, and Merle in my head. Let’s mosey into the weekend with accessories that inspire us and a great playlist.

Evening Festival Attire

DT_Nancys-28I hope you all enjoyed the daytime attire post in preparation for music festival season. Now, let’s switch gears and focus on a nighttime or a funkier music festival outfit. A lot festivals can be in rugged areas and dressing up will be out of the question. However, for those special instances where you can let your hair done, I’ve got you covered. Now, let’s boogie.

Daytime Festival Attire

DT_RoundO-33Hello Music Festival Season! Well, not quite yet, but it is music festival prep season. While the lineups are being released, our to-do lists are growing with booking travel arrangements and making regular trips to Costco to build our festival supplies. This also means that we will start our search for the perfect outfit that will work with warmer days. I’ve taken a stab at an outfit appropriate for festivals set in fields, parks or farms. Stay tuned for the evening outfit.
